While I was getting ready to start writing this post I noticed that Brave too has that thingy where you can open web apps in separate windows using a command like this one:

$ brave --app=https://url.app

which is kinda stupid of me since Brave is Chromium based and that feature is probably even available with foxy based browsers too, but I just enjoy it a lot and wasn’t enjoying having two Chromium based browsers running on my system at the same time. And yes I did get Brave to run fine… well not really, see I used Nix package manager to download it, and Nix packages in my system has this stupid bug where they use the ugliest mouse cursor on earth instead of the Xorg cursor I have in the rest of my system, it’s just stupid but I got used to quickly… but still I’mma try my best to find a way to fix this bug because I have it in VSCodium too since I got it from Nix as well, I tried building it from source myself but I always ran into dependencies issues it’s so annoying.

Other than my default browser I’ve been spending a lot of time improving my system these days and honestly… it is in it’s best days so far, yes I’m not keeping track of the changes I’m doing and I might lose all the work I’ve doing and all but… I need a reset anyway, my system ain’t that clean and honestly I should fix it soon. Trying the XFCE version of Void was worth it’s time but now I think I really should go back to a clean base install with only the things I need, also… I feel like I should start using a separate home partition, I need a hardware upgrade for my system and once I get it I’ll definitely be forced to use a separate home so… I should keep that in mind next time I reset.

I’ve been spending a good amount of time on Windows the past few days since I needed it for school, I had to set up a minimal install to run it as an Oracle daemon and connect to it from VSCodium using IP address, weirdly Oracle forces you on a specific disk size even if you had enough space to install it, like… it takes around 3GB, and when I made a 15GB Tiny10 VM I had around 5GB of free space, which was fairly enough but nope, it didn’t allow me to finish the installation and asked for extra space, so I gave it the space it asked for. This machine I can run from my external hard drive since I really don’t care about the performance, I literally give it 1 core of my CPU and a GB of RAM, however I do need a better Win10 setup for Office work, yes I have Office365 but still that doesn’t have Access so… I keep a GhostS10 VM in my SSD, it doesn’t take that much space only 16GB so I’m totally fine with it.

Well… this is it for today, I have a lot of packing to do lol. See you next time, take care!
