For a very long while now, I’ve always wanted a blog like this, a place where I can let go of my thoughts un-anonymously. So let’s talk a bit about this website and why I went with this static fashion with the gruvbox colorscheme. Well, yes, I’m probably just copying Luke Smith and all, but I’m really happy with the way this turned out. Having a webpage like this is a great source of motivation for me to write more and, soon enough, to read more. I’m planning to add a new section for book reviews, with the hope of building better reading habits than my current state with fictional books and romance novels. Not to mention that writing more will greatly improve my English, and God knows how much I need that.

One of the main reasons I started this blog is to document my learning process and have a better look at my past self. I realized that the person I should be comparing myself to is myself. I am the person I should be competing with. And no matter how cheesy this may sound, it is the truth. I never expected myself to be motivated about coding again, and yet here I am, struggling with databases and Golang after giving up on Rust. I know it’s not easy to be good at this. Back-end development can be such a pain in the ass to master, and that is a challenge I’m up for. I fell in love with Linux and the open-source software philosophy, and I won’t let that go to waste. I really enjoy scrolling through GitHub, going through source codes of projects I don’t fully understand, and cheering up whenever I come across a function whose purpose I somehow manage to understand. It feels like a huge achievement, and I love that feeling.

As you’ve clearly noticed, the randomness in this blog is kind of cringe-y, but that is exactly what this daily blog is about—letting my thoughts out without limits. If I allow myself to give these blogs second thoughts, I’ll probably spend hours stuck on choosing the perfect title. However, I’ll probably have some kind of weekly blog where I’ll write more carefully and about real topics, unlike this one where I just go through my day in a vlog-ish vibe.

Anyways, thank you so much if you made it all the way here. It really means a lot to me. Until we meet again, take care of yourself, friend. Farewell.

Seth.
